Chaos Hold'Em is a poker game with roguelike modifiers. Chaos Orbs rewrite a hand mid-play — repaint every card into spades, swap the whole table, burn the pot — and most of them can just as easily wreck the player who used them. Everything on this page is free to use in coverage. Questions, review builds, or anything you need that isn't here: bonjour@chaosholdem.com.

One line

A poker game where Chaos Orbs bend the rules mid-hand — and just as often blow up in your face.

Short (~50 words)

Chaos Hold'Em is a poker game built around Chaos Orbs: consumable modifiers played mid-hand. Repaint every card into spades. Swap the whole table. Burn the pot and walk. But orbs rarely discriminate — one folds a random player, most likely you — so playing one is a gamble in itself.

Long (~150 words)

Chaos Hold'Em takes the shape of Texas Hold'Em and hands every player a way to break it. Chaos Orbs are consumable modifiers played mid-hand: repaint every card into spades, swap the whole table's cards, burn every chip in play and fold.

Orbs cut both ways. One shoves everyone all-in and folds the strongest hand, including yours. Another folds a player at random, and the odds favour it being you. They stack, so a hand that was dead on the flop can still take the pot on the river — but knowing when not to spend one is the whole game.

Orbs come in rarity tiers, all earned by playing. The Gauntlet is a level-by-level climb against AI tables, cleared levels kept between sessions and a champion crowned each week. Real-time six-seat tables hand the same orbs to opponents who will happily use them on you.

Free to play, play money only, with no ads and no loot boxes. Optional Chaos Shard packs are coming, and buy a specific orb at a fixed price rather than a chance at one.

Key features

  • Chaos Orbs. Consumable modifiers played mid-hand — repaint the deck, swap every card, burn the pot, banish every king and ace. They stack, and the combinations are where the game lives.
  • They cut both ways. Most orbs do not care who played them. One folds a player at random and you are the likeliest target; another folds the strongest hand at the table, yours included. Knowing when not to use one matters as much as owning it.
  • The Gauntlet. A level-by-level climb against AI tables. Cleared levels are kept between sessions, and a champion is crowned each week at the top.
  • Real-time tables. Six-seat games where every opponent is holding the same orbs you are.
  • Rarity tiers. Orbs run from Bronze up to Legendary, every one of them earnable in play.

What Chaos Hold'Em is not

There is no gambling in Chaos Hold'Em — worth stating plainly, because a card game invites the assumption. Chips are play money, they cannot be bought with cash, and there is nothing to cash out. The game carries no ads and no randomised paid rewards: when Chaos Shard packs switch on they will buy a specific orb at a fixed price, never a chance at one.
