Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 27 May 2026
These Terms are a good-faith summary of your rights and responsibilities when using Chaos Hold'Em. They are not a substitute for legal advice. We recommend you read them in full. If you have questions, contact us at bonjour@chaosholdem.com.
1. Who we are
Chaos Hold'Em is operated by Chaos Hold'Em Ltd, 6945 Unit 108308, London, W1A 6US, United Kingdom ("we", "us", or "our"). You can reach us at bonjour@chaosholdem.com.
2. Accepting these Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Chaos Hold'Em app or by accessing the website at chaosholdem.com, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the game or site.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes where reasonably practicable. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date above will change when we update them.
3. About Chaos Hold'Em
Chaos Hold'Em is a real-time Texas Hold'Em poker-style game for mobile (iOS and Android) and web. Players compete in live six-seat tables or against AI bots using standard poker mechanics, augmented by Chaos Orbs — consumable power-ups that let you bend the rules (changing suits, redrawing cards, burning chips, and more). The game is currently available as a public beta on iOS via TestFlight; Android support is coming soon.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Chaos Hold'Em. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement.
If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has given permission for you to use the game and, where purchases are available, to make any in-game purchases.
If we become aware that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will close it and delete the associated data.
5. No real money — virtual items only
Chaos Hold'Em is not a gambling product and is played entirely for entertainment. All chips, Chaos Orbs, and other in-game items are virtual. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged or traded with other players, and cannot be redeemed, withdrawn, or converted into real money or any other item of value outside the game, whether through us or any third party.
No real money is ever wagered, staked, or won. The terms "bet", "raise", "win", and "lose" refer to gameplay mechanics within a virtual context only.
6. Chaos Orbs and virtual items
How you earn Orbs
Chaos Orbs are currently earned through gameplay: you receive Orbs when you create your account and when you complete games. You do not need to spend any money to play or to obtain Orbs.
Future purchases
We may in the future offer Chaos Orbs or other virtual items for purchase within the game. Where purchases become available, the following applies:
- Purchases will be processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms and payment policies.
- Purchases of digital content are generally final once the content has been delivered or consumed, except where your statutory rights apply — see the section on your statutory rights below.
- If you are under 18, you must have express permission from a parent or legal guardian before making any purchase.
- Virtual items remain subject to these Terms at all times, including after purchase. They do not constitute property and carry no guaranteed monetary or exchange value.
- We may modify, limit, or discontinue any virtual item or the ability to purchase items at any time, including during a beta period where game balance is actively adjusted.
Your statutory rights on purchases
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer in the United Kingdom. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel an order for digital content. However, once you have requested that the digital content be delivered and it has been delivered to you (i.e., Orbs credited to your account), you may lose this cancellation right. We will make this clear at the point of purchase. Your right to a remedy for digital content that is not of satisfactory quality remains unaffected.
7. Your account
You create an account using your email address and a one-time code we send you — there is no password. You are responsible for keeping your device and email account secure.
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. Please contact us immediately at bonjour@chaosholdem.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
You may only hold one account. Creating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage is not permitted.
8. Acceptable use and fair play
When using Chaos Hold'Em you must not:
- Cheat, use bots, automated scripts, or any software that gives an unfair advantage.
- Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics; please report them to us instead.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app or backend.
- Use a username that is offensive, harassing, impersonates another person, or infringes any third-party rights.
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt our servers, networks, or other players' experience.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of applicable law.
We may suspend or permanently ban accounts that breach these rules, at our sole discretion.
9. Beta software
Chaos Hold'Em is currently in public beta. This means the game is provided on an "as is" basis, features are subject to change, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that all features will work as expected. Virtual item balances, game mechanics, and Orb availability may be reset or adjusted during the beta period. We will try to give advance notice of significant resets where possible.
10. Intellectual property
All content in Chaos Hold'Em — including the game code, artwork, Chaos Orb designs, branding, and marketing materials — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the game for your personal entertainment. You acquire no ownership rights in the game or any part of it.
You must not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of Chaos Hold'Em without our written permission.
11. Availability and changes
We do not guarantee that the service will always be available or free from errors. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice. We will try to give reasonable advance notice of permanent shutdowns.
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time by contacting us at bonjour@chaosholdem.com. On closure, your virtual items are forfeited (they have no monetary value). We may close accounts for breach of these Terms, inactivity, or for any other legitimate reason, with or without notice depending on the circumstances.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Chaos Hold'Em is provided without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of England and Wales; or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £10.
We are not liable for any loss or damage that is indirect, consequential, or not foreseeable, including loss of virtual items due to account closure, service changes, or discontinuation.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
We will always try to resolve disputes amicably. Please contact us first at bonjour@chaosholdem.com.
